At Down Dog Studio, we offer science-based, positive-reinforcement dog training designed to support dogs and their humans at every life stage. Whether you’re starting with a new puppy, navigating the teenage phase, polishing everyday manners, or working through reactivity, we’re here to help.
Group Training Classes
Puppy Classes ages- 8 wks-16 wks
Our puppy classes are designed to give young dogs the best possible start. We focus on early socialization, foundational skills, confidence building, and helping puppy parents understand how to raise a well-adjusted dog. These classes are fun, supportive, and age-appropriate.

Teen Dog Classes ages 4 month-10 months
Adolescence can be challenging—for dogs and humans alike. Teen dog classes help guide dogs through this developmental stage with structure, clarity, and patience. We focus on impulse control, focus, and maintaining skills as distractions increase.

General Manners Classes ages 6 months–Senior Dogs
These classes are ideal for dogs of all ages who need help with everyday skills. We work on polite behaviors such as walking on leash, coming when called, staying calm around people and dogs, and building reliability at home and in public.

Leash Manners and Polite greetings- Outdoors 4 week class ages 7 months and up. More info and enrollment here: Outdoor Class
Intermediate Level Classes
Ready to take your dog’s skills to the next level? Intermediate classes build on foundation manners and add real-world challenges. Dogs learn to work through higher distractions, practice longer duration behaviors, and gain confidence in new environments. email us to be notified of the next Intermediate class.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep
Next session June 22nd enroll here: Int. CGC Prep Our CGC Prep classes help teams prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test while also building practical, everyday skills. This class is great for dogs who enjoy structured work and for owners who want a clear set of training goals.
Advanced CGC Class
Next session Email jen@fmdowndog.com to be added to contact list for future sessions.This class is for dogs who have taken and passed the beginning level CGC Class. 4 session class. Two classes will be held at Down Dog Studio and 2 classes will be held in a public setting. Class information page: Advanced.
Over-Reactive Dog Class (no previous training required)
Next Session April 28th at 7:20pm Tuesdays. This specialized class is designed for dogs who are too over stimulated for a regular group class. No previous training required. This class is for you if your dog struggles with reactivity toward people, dogs, or their environment while they are on a walk. We focus on understanding thresholds, reducing stress, building emotional regulation, and teaching practical skills in a safe, controlled setting. Dogs work at their own pace, and progress is always respected.

Private Training Options
If you’re looking for more individualized support, we offer private training sessions tailored to your dog’s specific needs.
- In-Home Private Sessions – Great for addressing behaviors where they naturally occur, such as jumping, barking, leash struggles, or household routines.
- Studio Private Sessions – Ideal for focused skill building, behavior modification, or working in a controlled environment.
Private training is available for puppies, adult dogs, and dogs with more complex behavior needs.
